Health And Safety At Work Training
Our 2 day ‘in-house’ workshop for staff is a very practical introduction to the individual employees
responsibilities.
It does not move into the esoteric levels of ‘rote learning’ the various legislative acts and regulations
which govern HASAW, rather it helps staff understand how to find detailed HASAW information as
and when they need it.
We ensure that employees and supervisors who attend the one day workshop leave with a clear
motivation to apply practical and sensible safe ways of work back in their own workplace.
We use the daily task of deciding whether or not to carry out a driving manoeuvre such as overtaking
to illustrate the role and simplicity of hazard and risk assessment. Manual handling and fire precautions
are, believe it or not, fun sessions which imprint an unforgettable message in the memory of the candidates.
Accident and incident investigation is covered in such a way that candidates are actually motivated to
report ‘near miss’ incidents as a positive part of their improvement of safety at work. Health hazards,
and preventative measures are illustrated with real examples from the candidates own industry.
The whole workshop is tailored to the needs of your organisation and
staff. Up to 16 staff can be trained over a 2 day period, preferably
two successive days but the workshop can be split over a longer period
if necessary, for the modest all inclusive fee of £1500 plus VAT.
